Grenzzone

Aus aktuellem Anlass ein uralter Film. Gegenwärtig nehmen wir staunend zur Kenntnis, dass sich schon wieder unsere gewohnte Welt verändern wird, angesichts der vielen Menschen aus armen und bekriegten Ländern. Und dann erinnern wir uns gleichzeitig an eine andere Erschütterung vor nun schon 25 Jahren, die – ganz im Gegensatz zu dem, was jetzt auf uns einströmt – keiner geahnt hatte.

Meine Heimat war ganz dicht dran an der damaligen Umwälzung, und ich habe mir die Kamera geschnappt und bin den Abbautruppen (zur Strafe musste es die NVA selbst machen!) vorweggelaufen. Anbei der Film und die Beschreibung, die obligatorisch für eine Filmfestivalbewerbung war (auf denen der Film natürlich dauernd lief!)

Die Grenze, an der ich aufgewachsen bin, war für mich weniger die Trennlinie zweier sich feindlich gegenüberstehender Weltsysteme. Nicht als Sinnbild habe ich sie erfahren, sondern als Körper. Eine gigantische Wand, die die Landschaft durchzog, so selbstverständlich wie unerklärlich. Für den Blick zwar durchlässig, war sie doch selbst nicht zu überwinden, das machte diese politische Grenze physisch so präsent…

Die Wirklichkeit war ein geteilter Raum, ein hüben und drüben, die Heimat und die Fremde – aber die Landschaft war die gleiche…

Insofern der Verlauf des Grenzzaunes nicht den geographischen Vorgaben folgte, eben nicht im Tal verlief, das zwei Höhenzüge teilte, oder im Fluss, der zwei Ufer hat, insofern er seine eigenen Gesetzte zu haben schien, teilte er nicht nur die Landschaft, sondern stand auch im besonderen Gegensatz zu ihr. Gerade in diesem Gegensatz war er Orientierung, wurde er Teil der Landschaft…

Der Film tastet die Landschaft durch das Raster, das der Grenzzaun vorgibt, ab. Es entsteht eine Fahrt, die nur im Film möglich ist und ein Dokument des Gewesenen.
